Acapulcos is a cantina serving up authentic Mexican cuisine. With 13 locations overall, there is probably one nearby. This location is tiny but there are usually a couple of empty seats at the bar or a few tables waiting. If not, just have a cocktail and wait a few minutes because the food comes out quick and turnaround happens fast. The dining room has booths and small tables accentuated by a pleasant South American themed atmosphere. The bar is a comfortable place to eat dinner or have a few dos equis and make some new friends.
If your group likes Mexican food, the menu should have enough choices for everyone. All the usual suspects are here from quesadillas and fajitas to chimichangas and burritos. Plus, there are carnitas, seafood and vegetarian options as well. The food is prepared well and the portions are large, usually including rice and refried beans. If you like soup, try the sopa de albondigas, it’s great. The real stars here are the margaritas which can be ordered in many different flavors and come in fairly big glasses.
The staff is very polite and accommodating, usually greeting you as if you were family. This restaurant is a good option for a quick lunch or dinner if you’re craving Mexican food.
